Penghu is an archipelago of 90 islands and islets in the west of the Taiwan Strait, a popular summer destination for the locals while still less known to international travellers. 

The islands boast uncrowded pristine beaches attracting summer vacations seeking beach time, fishing, and snorkeling with green turtles. And thanks to the strong wind creating big waves, surfing and windsurfing are popular water activities.

The Penghu International Fireworks Festival is held from May to July every year in Guanyinting Park and several of Penghu’s well-known outlying islands.

The beautiful fireworks complement the unique bay environment and the romantic Xiying Rainbow Bridge. In addition to the dazzling fireworks, many well-known artists and local performance groups perform on stages, allowing visitors to enjoy a leisurely and romantic atmosphere.

The main venue of the Penghu Fireworks Festival happens on the main island of Magong at Guanyin Pavilion Park or Guanyinting 觀音亭, fireworks will set to begin at 21:00PM on Mondays and Thursday, through May 2nd to July 30th, except June 1st, June 15th, July 28th and July 30th.
